Dutch team pony Elin Noncisdador, who won team bronze at the 2016 European Pony Championships, has been leased to the up and coming 12-year old Dutch pony rider Micky Schelstraete.

Elin's Noncisdador is a 14-year old Hanoverian bred German Riding pony stallion (by Nostradamus x LP Nixen), bred by Hans Ludwig Knüppel an owned by Rose van der Lof.

The pony made its show debut in 2005 under Kathrin Kohne. At the beginning of 2007 Ralf Steinbach took over and by June the stallion was competed by Anna von Negri for the remainder of the year.

Elin's Noncisdador resurfaced on the international scene in 2010 under Dutch Samantha van der Lof, who showed the pony internationally until 2012. In 2014 Zoe Kuintjes continued the international show career of the stallion. Kuintjes and Elin's Noncisdador represented Holland at the European Pony Championships in Malmo, Sweden (2015) and in Vilhelmsborg, Denmark (2016). They won team bronze in Vilhelmsborg and finished seventh individually.

The stallion, who recently got approved for NRPS breeding, will now be a schoolmaster to 12-year old Micky, who is the daughter of Dutch horse dealer and FEI rider Jonna Schelstraete.

"Rose and Samantha van der Lof approached Jonna several weeks ago asking if Micky would be interested in riding a top class pony. Given the fact that Micky has certain sporting ambitions and that she has already been participating in several CDIP’s with Onyx (van de Kleine Vlier), which is the competition pony of her younger sister Amber, this was a great opportunity," Schelstraete explained.

Micky made her international FEI pony level debut on the 12-year old Dutch Welsh pony Onyx van de Kleine Vlier (by Leuns Veld's Lord x Baledon Jerimiah) and has recently started training and riding the 6-year old Weser Ems stallion Cappuccino Royale G (by Casino Royale x Bavarottie).

Schelstraete trains her ponies with Marlies van Baalen and Nicolette van Leeuwen.
