Anna Lisa Theile's team gold medal winning young rider's horse Ducati K has been sold to 15-year old German junior rider Henri Schamburg. The Schamburg family acquired the liver chestnut gelding at the time of the 2016 German Youth Riders Championships in Riesenbeck, where Theile won bronze.

Ducati K is bred by Thomas Koldehoff and is a 10-year old Oldenburg gelding by Damon Hill x Rosenkavalier. Under Anna Lisa Theile he represented Germany at the 2016 European Young Riders Championships in Oliva Nova, Spain, where the pair won team gold and placedfo urth in the individual test and fifth in the kur to music.

In May 2016 the Vechta based Theile finished her two Bachelor of Honours degrees in European Business and Financial Management in Munster and Hull (UK). In preparation of her team selection, Anna Lisa traveled back and forth between Gemany and England every two weeks in order to keep training. She also rode horses at Lara Edwards (née Dyson) while in England. She now works with Ernst & Young as a consult, majoring in Finance and Risk Management, in Düsseldorf.

It was Theile's intention to sell Ducati K already at the beginning of the 2016 show season, but at the same time she was also giving it her all for German young rider team selection.

"Even though I love riding almost more than anything in my life, I'm equally ambitious when it comes to education and my job," she said. "So even though it broke my heart as I have trained and brought him up the levels myself, it knew was the right thing to find him a good, loving new owner who had lots of years left in the Juniors/Young Riders circuit. Especially considering, that I don't even know whether I will ever have that much time to ride again."

The Schamburg now acquired Ducati K as a young schoolmaster for Henri. The horse is still in training with the Theile family. "Henri can get to know him slowly," Theile explained. "He is coming every weekend and to be honest I have never seen someone care for his horse that much. He has only turned 15 a month ago and is working really really hard to become better."

Schamburg has been competing his junior rider's mount Ronaldhino internationally at the CDI Darmstadt and Mariakalnok this year.
