Norwegian young rider Alexandra Andresen has acquired Borencio as her new Young Riders mount and hopeful for the 2016 European YR Championships in Oliva Nova this summer.

Borencio is a 10-year old Dutch warmblood gelding by Florencio x Lord Sinclair x Clavecimbel.

Under Emmelie Scholtens the bright bay gelding won silver at the 2012 World Young Horse Championships in Verden. He also won the 2010 and 2011
Pavo Cup Finals. At the 2011 World Young Horse Championships in Verden he finished 8th in the Finals.

In 2013 Borencio sold to Danish Grand Prix rider Agnete Kirk Thinggaard but in December 2014 she sold him to Norwegian Grand Prix rider Cathrine Rasmussen. The latter trained him to Grand Prix level but never competed him.

Borencio came back on the market and was for sale at Andreas Helgstrand's yard. The Norwegian Andresen family has acquired him for daughter Alexandra, who now has two young riders horses to compete (alongside Don Massimo).

"I've had him for about a week," Alexandra told Eurodressage. "Our goal is to go to Valencia for the European Young Riders Championships."

Alexandra and Borencio will make their show debut next week at the CDI Aalborg.
