There were little surprises in the 2014 KNHS FEI Pony Cup finals for Dutch FEI Pony riders at the 2014 CDIO Rotterdam on Saturday 21 June 2014. The winner of five out of six qualifiers also claimed the Finals as well. Lisanne Zoutendijk and the buckskin Champ of Class scored 81.54% in the Kur to Music finals.

The runner-up in the finals was Demy Kurstjens on the chestnut gelding Ciske (by Composer van de Beekerheide) with 78.667%, while Esmee Donkers and Boticelli (by Brillant) were third with 75.167% ahead of 2013 Dutch team rider Joelle Peters on Haasendonck's Sultan.

While the 2014 KNHS FEI Pony Cup came to a conclusion in Rotterdam with a kur to music finals, it was actually the warm up team test early in the morning which was more important as it served as Dutch team selection trial for the 2014 European Pony Championships. One of the competitors, Febe van Zwambagt, received a wild card to compete in the class as her pony was injured part of the show season.

"She took full advantage of the opportunity to finish third," said Dutch team trainer Tineke Bartels. "I've seen many faultfree rides and the combinations were all closely ranked together. Not only this show, but also at the shows before Rotterdam there was a power match going on."
