Dutch pony champion Lisanne Zoutendijk won the second leg of the 2013-2014 KNHS Fei Pony Cup held at Sunrise Stables in Assen, The Netherlands, on 11 January 2014. Aboard her pony schoolmaster Amaretto, Zoutendijk won the class with only a fraction of a point more than second placed Joelle Peters.

"We judged with incredible joy," said chair of the ground jury Monique Peutz. "They were riding at a very high level."

Zoutendijk showed her mileage and experience and rode a very harmonious test that earned her 72.95%. "Lisanne is capable of executing all exercises of the dressage test really beautifully. Because she knows how to ride a test and where to be strong, she doesn't lose any points," Peutz explained.

Joelle Peters and her New Forest Pony Haasendonk's Sultan (by Nieuwmoeds Patrick) were on Zoutendijk's heels and finished second with 72.69%. "Joelle makes a very beautiful combination with her pony Siltan. She makes an impression in the canter work. Also in the extended canter on the long side she took off with a lot of power, but while collecting the pony changed lead and that cost her a lot of points," said Peutz.

Brand new combination Daphne van Peperstraten and Don Camillo du Bois (by Dornik B) completed the top three with a 71.97% score. "This combination had a very strong walk, which also showed in the turns on the hauches, which were small and correct. In canter the combination rode nice simple changes. In trot the pony could use the hind leg a bit more convincingly," said Peutz.
