Swiss young rider Emma Grandits had to sad goodbye to her Under 25 hopeful For Fun. He was 15 years old.
For Fun was a Bavarian warmblood by Furstenball out of Maiblümchen (by Maizauber x Lungau x Shogun xx). He was bred by Rupprecht Betz.
Judy Reynolds
First owned by New Zealand's Michelle Grimes (2015), For Fun made his show debut in Germany under Irish Judy Reynolds in May 2017 at L-level. Judy produced the dark bay up the levels. They did their first S-level test in the autumn of 2019
In 2020 the ownership changed to Reynolds and her husband Patrick Heavey. Judy and "Fritzi" tackled medium tour level in February 2022 and their first Grand Prix test in April 2022 in Hamminkeln.
The duo made its international Grand Prix debut in June 2022 in Geesteren and from there went to Jardy and Grote-Brogel but they did not make the team for the 2022 World Championships in Herning. In 2023 they competed in Doha, Sint-Truiden, Tolbert, Exloo, Lipica, Brno and Kornberg, but Reynolds got selected on the Irish team with Johann Hinnemann's Rockman Royal NG for the European Championships in Riesenbeck.
Judy and For Fun took a 10-month break from CDI showing and returned in May 2024 in Exloo. She then continued to show him nationally. Their last start was in Ankum on 6 March 2025.

"Unfortunately, our Fritzi had some medical issues on his legs that couldn’t be treated," Emma told Eurodressage. "Even after surgery and months of rest he was still in severe pain, and his condition continued to worsen. Our time together was far too short." At the start of April Grandits had to put For Fun to sleep.
She is currently still competing at Young Riders level with Quibelle (by Quaterback x Furst Heinrich) and Ballantines VR (by Borsalino x Hochadel).
