The Polish equestrian federation has selected the horse-and-rider combinations that will represent Poland at the 2025 World Championships for young dressage horses in Verden.
Poland is eligible to send two horses per age category, but only selected three in total out of six possible slots.
Polish candidates had to achieve a 75% at a CDI to be invited to a final selection trial in Gosciszow last weekend, where the definitive pick was made.
The following horses have been selected:
5-year olds
- Ann van den Broeck - Indira W (Westfalian, by Ibiza x Florestan)
- Magdalena Jura - Veritas (Oldenburg, by Vitalis x Sandro Hit)
6-year olds
- Mateusz Cichoń - Ebano (Hanoverian, by Escamillo x Fiorano)
Aleksandra Poplawska-Slazak qualified her 6-year old Madame Geneva (OLD, by For Romance x Zack) but chose not to ride the trial as she is focusing on qualifying her horse Sambalito for the Polish senior Grand Prix team. The timing of the qualifier conflicted with her Grand Prix plans. Madame Geneva competed at the CDI Dunajski Klatov last weekend, where she got 83.40%. The selectors only selected Ebano who was in Gosciszow. Internationally Ebano had a high score of 87.200%.

There were two candidates in the running for the 7-year old slot: Karolina Mazurek on her own Fibrina (PZHK, by Believe in Me & Le Duc) and Fernando Esteban Ruiz on the Pawluk family's Bombastik (PZHK, by Escolar x Benetton Dream). Both competed at the WCYH in Ermelo last year but pulled out of the Polish selection process, the latter because of a conflicting show schedule with Caroline Pawluk's European YR Championships which co-incided with the Polish WCYH qualifier.
