Haras de Malleret Stallion Show on 10 February 2024

After the huge, international success of the first edition in 2023, Haras de Malleret will be opening its doors again for a second stallion show and evening of education, entertainment, and networking on Saturday 10 February 2024.

Haras de Malleret is France's leading dressage breeding farm and stallion station. Proud of its horse-keeping and training philosophy with the welfare of the horse at its core, Malleret collaborates with two Olympians - Helen Langehanenberg (GER) and Larissa Pauluis (BEL) - who will ride and speak at the show, alongside Helen's associate, Spanish Grand Prix rider Manuel Dominguez Bernal as well as Malleret's in-house rider Alfonso de la Chica Parras (ESP).

A Roster of Top Stallions

At the stallion show on 10 February 2024 Gérald Martinez will present Malleret's top dressage stallions under saddle.

The collection includes the FEI level trained flagship Grand Prix stallion Danciano (by Dancier x Rotspon x Wolkenstein II), 2023 Nurnberger Burgpokal finalist Golden Romance Malleret PS (by Governor x Sir Donnerhall), Grand Prix horse Stolzenberg de Malleret (by Sandro Hit x Lord Sinclair).

Langehanenberg and Golden Romance PS
Malleret were fifth in the 2023 Nurnberger
Burgpokal Finals in Frankfurt
Also the young stallions will be showcased: Faszination de Malleret (by Furst Belissaro x San Remo) and Fänomen de Malleret (by Foundation x Sezuan), Esperanzo Malleret PS (by Escamillo x Zack), First Moon de Malleret (by Fürstenball x Diamond Hit), Royal de Malleret (by Rubin Royal x Fürst Wilhelm), and Fantom de Malleret (by Fair Game x Wochstern).

Gérald Martinez' personal darling of the barn, the FEI level trained Flinstone (by Fidertanz x Abanos), will certainly be part of the show. The under saddle presentation will be delivered by Langehanenberg, Dominguez, Pauluis and De La Chica Parras.

New Collaborations in the New Year

Located in the Bordeaux area, Haras de Malleret continues to promote its business and seek the best opportunities for their horses while catering to the needs of breeders.

For the 2024 breeding season, Danciano and Golden Romance Malleret will continue their training with Dominguez and Langehanenberg, but they will be standing at stud at Paul Schockemöhle's station in Mühlen, Germany.

"This will be an exciting year as our horses continue to be developed up the levels, but we also want to give the best service to the breeders," Martinez explained. "Danciano spent his summer holiday here at Malleret but will soon return to Germany. He will be based at Schockemöhle's station because there is a big demand for fresh semen from all over Europe and at Helen's yard only the German market was catered to. We want to give breeders across the world the opportunity to breed with our fabulous stallions."

Dominguez and Danciano de Malleret
Martinez also embraced a collaboration with Belgian Larissa Pauluis

"Larissa came here to try out a horse for a client and I loved her riding," Martinez explained. "She really matched with the horses. She is based in Belgium next door to an E.U. stallion station that can also ship fresh semen across Europe so we agreed that she would take on the training of our talented youngsters Faszination and Fänomen."

Gérald continued, "in the past years we experienced how difficult it is for us to find the right riders, who share our vision that the happiness and wellbeing of our horses are equally important to success in the competition arena, plus who can combine this with high standard semen collection and shipping. It's a complex puzzle to make it all fit, but I believe we are slowly finding the perfect combinations. We always look for good solutions: for our horses, and for the breeders."

Save the Date

The show on 10 February 2024 will be hosted in a warm, familiar atmosphere celebrating horse sport, classical dressage, and the French bon vivant lifestyle.

Malleret's philosophy will be at the forefront: careful training of the horses up the levels according to the classical principles of dressage with animal welfare as the number one priority.  The premises will be open to visitors who can discover the facility with its exclusive Balneotherapy spa and equine rehabilitation center. They will have the opportunity to meet Helen Langehanenberg, the Malleret staff, and talk with them about the stallions.
