Finnish Olympian Henri Ruoste has sold his 2019 European Championships ride, Rossetti, to Korea. The Danish warmblood gelding will continue its sport career under South Korean Olympian Dong Seon Kim.

Rosetti is a 15-year old Danish warmblood gelding by Romanov out of Sylvia Light (by Midt West Ibi Light).

He is bred by Elsebeth Lykke Andersen in Denmark

Jan Møller Christensen

As a youngster, Rossetti was prepared for the Danish warmblood stallion licensing by Jan Møller Christensen and got approved.

A few years later the bright bay returned in training with Christensen and as a gelding had a late start in his competition career at the age of 6. He was first competed in 2014.

The pair showed on the Danish young horse circuit in the 6-year old classes and represented Denmark at the 2014 World Young Horse Championships in Verden, where they finished 12th in the Finals. They finished the season by winning gold at the 2014 Danish Young Horse Championships.

In 2015 the pair moved up to MB and small tour level and competed in the pilot project for 7 and 8-year old class for former WCYH finalists at the 2015 World Young Horse Championships in Verden.

A year break from competition followed and Christensen returned to the arena with Rossetti in October 2016. In 2017 they did two more national show, one in January and one in May, winning the Prix St Georges with 71.053%

Henri Ruoste

Rossetti sold to German based Finnish Grand Prix rider Henri Ruoste who made his show debut with him at Grand Prix level at the CDI Hesinki in October 2018.

From there the competed in Randbol and in 2019 rode at a serieus of shows, including Le Mans, Doha, Ebreichsdorf, Uggerhalne, Achleiten, and Aachen to be nominated for the 2019 European Dressage Championships, where Ruoste achieved a first career highlight, finishing 15th in the Special with 75.228% followed by a 15th place in the Kur.

At the 2019 European Championships in Rotterdam
Rossetti only returned to the CDI arena 1.5 years later in Hagen, where they posted 72.522% in the Grand Prix. Their next show was little over a year, the 2022 Aachen Dressage Days CDI in Hagen, where they got 73.587% in the Grand Prix. Ruoste and Rossetti could have gone to the 2022 World Championships in Herning, but the rider declined because he felt Rossetti lacked show routine to compete in such a big environment.

Dong Seon Kim

Rossetti has now been sold to the company Galleria Sporthorses for Korean Grand Prix rider Dong Seon Kim to ride.

The horse has already joined Kim in Seoul and is being prepared for the winter show season in Wellington, Florida.
