First Love, Best Seller in the 2020 Westfalian Online Colt and Broodmare Auction

At the 18th (!) online auction hosted by the Westfalian society this year, the 2-year old colt First Love became the best seller.

Held 10 - 14 December 2020, the auction included 43 horses in the collection that consisted of young colts and broodmares. 

The 2-year old colt First Love (by For Romance x Real Diamond)  sold for the highest price, 47,000 euro to a German client. 

The 2-year old colt Sportsfreund (by Sir Heinrich x Florestan) fetched 39,000 euro and will also stay in Germany. 

The third most expensive horse was 2.5-year old colt Biden (by Baron x Hoftrat), who was listed as sold to a German customer for 36,000 euro, but actually moved to Italian Grand Prix rider Anna Campanella, who is based in The Netherlands. Campanella did the bidding over the phone. 

I'm Special (by Ibiza x Benicio) sold for 34,000 euro and Samurai (by Sir Heinrich x Laureus) for 30,000 euro. Both will stay in Germany, according to the auction website. 

A Colombian bought Froschkonig (by Furstenball x Belissimo M) for 26,000 euro, while Fort Lauderdale (by For Romance x Londonderry) moves to the U.K. for 23,000 euro and Faszinierend (by For Romance x San Amour) to Belgium for 20,500 euro.

A Luxembourg customer bought Quitichi (by Quantensprung x Londonderry) for 17,000 euro. 

The Zoom sons Zagreb (dam sireJust Perfect) moves to Holland for 19,000 euro and Zauberhaft (dam sire Rotspon) to Sweden for 16,000 euro.

The average price for a horse in this auction was 18,906 euro.
