Delighted to win both the Grand Prix and the Grand Prix Special at the 2016 CDI Oliva Nova on 21 - 24 April 2016, British Anna Ross and 15-year old mare Die Callas clocked their second and third international victories as a duo. After a difficult start at the beginning of their partnership in the spring of 2015, the pair seemed to have found its groove in the show ring.
Four horses - the 5-year olds Victoria's Secret, Florenz, and Frank Sinatra, and the 6-year old Deluxe - became the winners of the Bundeschampionate qualification classes held at equestrian centre Massener Heide in Unna-Massen on 29 - 30 April 2016.
Brits Fiona Bigwood and Michael Eilberg cleaned up the big tour classes at the 2016 CDIO Saumur which concluded on Sunday 1 May 2016 with the Grand Prix Special. Bigwood continued to ride personal best marks on her Danish mare Atterupgaards Orthilia is now on the verge of cracking the 80% while Eilberg swept Saturday's freestyle division.
2016 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses
The Danish equestrian federation and Danish breed societies have agreed on a slightly different selection procedure to decide on Danish representation at the 2016 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Ermelo, The Netherlands, the last week of July. Because 2016 is an Olympic year the programme for Danish young horse selection has changed.
The 5-year old Fursten-Look and the 6-year old Bluetooth became the winners of the very first Bundeschampionate qualifier of the 2016 show season, held at the national equestrian event in Redefin, Germany, on 29 April - 1 May 2016.
