Dutch Adelinde Cornelissen and her 17-year old Parzival (by Jazz x Ulft) took out first place in the warm up Grand Prix at the 2014 World Cup Qualifier held in Lyon, France, on Thursday 30 October 2014. Scoring 78.620% Cornelissen edged out German Ulla Salzgeber on Herzruf's Erbe, who posted a seasonal high score of 77.440% for second place in the Grand Prix.
German based Irish WEG team rider Judy Reynolds wielded the axe of power at the 2014 Irish Dressage Championships held at the Cavan equestrian centre on 5 - 7 September 2014. Reynolds dominated the small tour aboard the Dutch bred Zigal and she reigned supreme in the big tour with the KWPN branded Vancouver K.
British Under 25 rider Alex Hardwick left her mark at the 2014 CDI 3* Biarritz in France on 24 – 26 October 2014 with a trio of wins. Riding her mum, Sally Hardwick’s 12-year-old Hanoverian gelding Donauwein, Alex stormed the U25s inter II and Grand Prix, topping the leader board with scores of 66.15% and 66.34%, respectively.
A high performance dressage mission from New Zealand was sent to the 2014 Australian Championships in Sydney and has been hailed as very successful by Sarah Harris, the high performance director of the New Zealand equestrian federation. Supported by team trainer Jeremy Steinberg, four Kiwis competed in the CDI-W Grand Prix and small tour classes.
