Marc Boblet, the highest placed French rider on the FEI Dressage Riders Ranking, rose to the top of the leader board in the Grand Prix Special at the 2014 CDI Deauville. Aboard the Dallara family's black mare Noble Dream (by Caprimond), Boblet scored 71.549% and edged out team contender Alexandre Ayache on Lights of Londonderry.
After a double Australian top ranking in Friday's Grand Prix, Australian riders produced a repeat performance in Saturday's Grand Prix kur to music with Lyndal Oatley's cousin Kristy moving into the winner's circle on Ronan and Mary Hanna placing second. Earlier that day, the young French Under 25 rider Hélène Legallais won the Intermediaire II and Spanish Beatriz Ferrer-Salat won the Intermediaire I.

The 5-year olds Danzarino OLD and Dreamgirl and the 6-year old Spirit of Westfalia were the winners of the Bundeschampionate qualification classes at the huge Oldenburg Regional Championships held in Rastede on Wednesday 23 July 2014. Forty-one 5-year olds and twenty-three 6-year olds contested the L and M-level dressage horse test.
