Germany’s Isabell Werth started off well at the 2016 CDI Geneva on Friday 9 December 2016. International dressage competition returned to Geneva at the Palexpo exhibition centre after a 15-year break and the event immediately drew out the big stars. Olympic silver medalist Isabell Werth won the Grand Prix on Emilio.

Two qualificants - Furst Levantino and Sweetheart FH - have dropped out and will be replaced by two new substitute pairs.
Always a popular fixture in the dressage calendar, the Roosendaal Indoor Christmas show once again proved a hit for the group of British riders who travelled to the Netherlands last weekend on 1 – 4 December 2016. British Olympic short listed rider Gareth Hughes clocked his first international Grand Prix victory aboard Don Carissimo, who made his CDI debut at that level in September.
For Dutch junior riders Daphne van Peperstraten and Carlijn Vaessen the 2016 CDI Roosendaal Indoor on 1 - 4 December 2016 became a winning debutante ball. Both riders competed in their first ever international junior riders' competition and took home the trophies.
Pony riders Caroline Mogensen and Kristian Würtz Green, junior rider Camilla Andersen, young rider Maja Andreasen and Under 25 rider Laura Hviid became the winners of the 2016 Ecco Cup Finals held at the Middelfart Equestrian Centre in Middelfart, Denmark, on 2 - 4 December 2016.
