2014 CDI-W Nizhniy Novgorod

Judging since 1979, Australia’s 4 star judge and previous dressage Olympian, Ricky Macmillan, felt that the 2014 CDI-W Nizhniy Novgorod on 10 - 13 June 2014 was held at an excellent facility, with brand new footing, a proven drainage system and presented a great show of dressage talent in Russia.

2014 Dutch Young Pony Championships

The 4-year old Pippin's Pride, the 5-year old Den Ostrik's Marah, and the 6-year old Morningsky became the winners of the 2014 Dutch Young Pony Championships held at Gert van den Hoorn's equestrian centre in Kootwijk, The Netherlands, 22 - 24 August 2014. After qualifying for the finals through selection shows in The Netherlands, five ponies made it to the big finals per age division after topping a morning qualification test at the Nationals.

2014 World Equestrian Games

Canadian team routinier Belinda Trussell and Anton put their best foot forward at the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Caen, Normandy, becoming the best Canadian pair at the show. Trussell was member of the Canadian 2010 WEG Team but an injury sidelined the pair for more than two years. Trussell has come back full force and showed some of the best piaffe work of all combinations in Caen.

2014 British Youth Riders Championships

Hundreds of younger generation British dressage riders gathered at Sheepgate Equestrian centre in Lincolnshire for the 2014 British Under-25s Dressage Championships held on 18 – 23 August 2014. The 14th running of the five-day festival featured wall-to wall competition with Bethany-Rose Horobin, Jessica Blackmore and Joanna Thurman-Baker rising to the top of the FEI Under-21s ranks.

2014 Dutch Outdoor Pony Championships

Lisanne Zoutendijk has ended her FEI pony career by winning the 2014 Dutch Outdoor Pony Championships in Ermelo, The Netherlands, on 30 August 201. Aboard her number one Champ of Class, Zoutendijk won the championship class with 75.53%. The silver went to Febe van Zwambagt, while Zoe Kuintjes claimed bronze.
