Waverley Federer is a beautifully schooled 4-year old gelding by Fidertanz out of a Premium Hotline x Warkant x Donnerhall mare. In August of this year, at only four years and one month, he completed qualification at Novice Gold for the Winter Regional Championships in the UK with scores of up to 75.5%. His last qualifying test was Novice 39 - the Championship test - in which he scored nearly 72%. Prior to this he earned the points for Preliminary Regional qualification in just two outings. He scored over 70% in 95% of all his tests.

Since qualifying Teddy has had a 6-week field holiday and has recently come back into work so that he can be offered for sale. Plenty of time for a new owner to get to know him and prepare without pressure for the Regional Championships in February if so desired.  At home he is doing many Elementary exercises (such as counter canter and leg yield) with fluency and ease.

Lovely to ride, Federer is also a joy to handle in the stable, the field and when travelling; he has superb manners generally as well as with the farrier or vet; he doesn't pull or use his strength against you in hand or ridden - a really good natured, sound, healthy horse.  He has superb leg and foot conformation (he is not shod as there has been no need) and super, clean legs.  X-rays can be viewed.

Federer has had the best professional start in terms of his training. He was backed as a three year old by Greg Sims, the bereiter to the Eilbergs and BD Young Professional of the Year for 2015. He was ridden lightly during these early months by Greg who gave him a really super foundation, before being sent to Jess Roisin Dunn in May 2016, triple National Champion in the UK, and former Bereiter to Wolfram Wittig, who then began regular training with a view to competition.

In only three short months Jess progressed Teddy from Prelim to Novice, earning the points to qualify for the Regional Winter Championships at both levels! The decision to move from Prelim to Novice so quickly was determined by Federer who found the work so easy. As to temperament Jess described him as 'the sweetest, most mild mannered 4yr old I've ever had the pleasure of training'. In addition he always receives lovely comments from the judges, for example in an early test where he earned 72.12%, one judge wrote : 'Huge ability and talent. A good learning test to set up for the future. When confident will flow forwards into 9s and 10s'.

All his test sheets are available to view.
