The 17-year old Hanoverian branded licensed stallion Weltrubin was euthanized on 30 January 2018. The stallion was diagnosed with a malignant tumour and could not be saved.

Bred by Paul Gerhard Leitner in Eggermüglen, Weltrubin was by Weltmeyer out of Raphaela (by Rubinstein x Gutenberg x Akzent I).

He was licensed at the 2002 Westfalian Stallion Licensing and acquired by the Warendorf state stud. He did his 70-day performance test in Warendorf in 2003 and scored 115.93 for dressage and 90.66 for show jumping, finishing on an index of 103.78 points.

According to the records of the German equestrian federation, Weltrubin had no significant sport career whatsoever. Jan Steiner competed him twice in 2006 at A-level and that was it. The Warendorf stud stated that the stallion was trained up to S-level and "highly placed in dressage horse tests." He often appeared in the shows and quadrilles of the state stud.

Weltrubin sired one licensed son, Whipsaw, who was the Zweibrucken reserve licensing champion in 2005. He produced 17 mares registered as broodmare and two of those became state premium. Forty-five of his offspring are registered for sport in Germany and 3 of those have competed at S-level.
