On 12 December 2017 the Hanoverian stallion licensing committee has accepted no less than 32 out of a collection of 52 presented, licensed stallions that were seeking approval with the Hanoverian Verband.

Especially young stars that have been successful in sport this year were accepted, amongst them the 2017 Bundeschampionate Finest Selection (by Follow Me x Lauries Crusador xx) and the hyped reserve Bundeschampion Secret (by Sezuan x St. Moritz) whose shaky conformation has been highly criticized by breeders.

Also accepted was the Dutch bred and 2016 Westfalian Licensing Champion Valverde (by Vitalis x Ampere) for Helgstrand Dressage, but their Quaterhit (by Quatergold x Sandro Hit) was rejected.  Blue Hors stud saw its Zackeray (by Zack x Sandro Hit), Fifty Cent (by Franziskus x Donnerball), the Westfalian bred Emilio (by Escolar x Lauries Crusador xx) and the Oldenburg licensed Londoner (by Londontime x Danone) approved.

De Beau (by De Niro x Sandro Hit) has also been accepted. He's owned by Isabell Werth's loyal sponsor Madeleine Winter-Schulze.

Gestut Schafhof's Thiago (by Totilas x Warkant) dropped out while Dressage Stable Krohn's Titolas (by Totilas x Stedionger) was rejected.

At the approval in Adelheidsdorf, 11 stallions were presented and seven approved.  Ten of them were owned by the Celle State Stud.
