On the fourth pre-selection day for the 2018 KWPN Stallion Licensing, the committee picked 23 colts that are allowed to move on to the second phase of the licensing scheduled in February 2018.
Twenty-three out of a group of 63 colts were accepted on 8 December, the fourth pre-selection day.
Franklin offspring appealed the most to the licensing committee as five of his sons were picked for the second phase.
"Three sons by For Gribaldi were selected. On average they could have been longer lined, but they move uphill and have nice suspension," said committee chair Bert Rutten. "We like to be more generous in our selection (in the first phase) in order to have enough colts for the performance testing. Franklin also made a strong impression with his sons. We picked five. They had an expressive way of moving, something they did not enherit from a stranger."
The colts selected on the fourth pre-selection day are:
