First Kiss GE (by Furstenball x Sandro Hit), bred and owned by Paul Schockemohle, was named the champion of the 2017 Mecklenburg Stallion Licensing in Redefin, Germany, on 11 November 2017.

For years the Mecklenburg stallion licensing has been the "Plan B" licensing for those stallion owners who did not wish to present their young colts at the more prominent and important licensings of the big studbooks such as Hanover, Oldenburg and Westfalen. The standard of quality in Mecklenburg was often far lower.

This year in Mecklenburg the quality had risen and the licensing committee jumped to the occasion to approve generously. Of the 33 dressage bred colts presented, no less than 27 were licensed. Six of them received the premium status and four of those premium stallions had KWPN sires! Furthermore a huge portion of the presented colts were either bred or owned by Paul Schockemohle! Stallion owner Heinrich Ramsbrock presented no less than 8 colts in Redefin this year.

The licensing champion was First Kiss GE (by Furstenball x Sandro Hit), bred by Gestut Elstertal and purchased by Kai Gerken as a foal for 10,000 euro at the South German Foal Auction.

The reserve champion was Vivaldi's Schufro (by Vivaldi x Don Schufro), bred by Paul Schockemohle and owned by the Swedish Maria Ring. This colt is bred out of Gesine, the grand dam of For Romance I and II.

The third ranked premium stallion was Ghislain (by Governor x Furst Heinrich), bred and owned by Michaela and Franz Dieter Kaldewei.

The other premium stallions were the Goldberg x De Koonig (bred by Christine Kärcher, owned by Heinrich Ramsbrock), a Danciano x Furst Romancier (bred and owned by Paul Schockemohle), and Vivaldon (by Vivaldi x Diamond Hit).

Vilando (by Vitalis x Diamond Hit), who became the price highlight of the Paul Schockemohle Online Colt Auction in September, selling for 56,000 euro), was also approved. He was listed as owned by Hof Kasselmann. At that same online auction came San Bordeaux (by San Amour x Bordeaux) sold to Sanneke Rothenberger for 21,500 euro. This colt was also approved.
