Aside from purchasing the former Danish licensed stallion Vincent Maranello, American young rider Lauren Asher has acquired the 15-year old Danish Grand Prix gelding Hotmail as her Under 25 schoolmaster along with a younger Danish small tour horse.

Lauren Asher has a whirlwind year in 2016. She received a training grant to compete her young rider's horse De Noir (by De Niro) in Europe at the CDI-YR in Compiëgne and Hagen in the spring and at the same time in May she relocated from California, where she trained with David Blake, to a base near Amsterdam to be more central in the heart of dressage sport in Europe.

Through Mette Rosencrantz, the parents of 20-year old Asher bought three more horses in Denmark which will give her dressage career a significant boost. They purchased the 15-year old Danish bred and internationally competed Grand Prix horse Hotmail (by Michellino) as her Under 25 schoolmaster as well as the 6-year old now gelded Danish warmblood Vincent Maranello (by Zack). At Lone Bang Larsen's yard they discovered an extra small tour horse, the 10-year old Danish bred mare Hønnerups Event (by Romanov x Classic), for her string.

This winter Lauren will take the rising 17-year old De Noir and her three newbies to Florida, where her parents bought a farm. She will be competing on the Dressage in Florida show circuit and then return back to Europe in the spring of 2017.

"When I come back after the Florida season, plan on finding a more permanent training situation for my team closer to where I'm currently based in Amsterdam," Asher told Eurodressage. "I do plan to do Under 25 with Hotmail in 2017, and Young Riders -- as it's my last year -- with Hønnerups Event."
