Dr. Mario von Depka has acquired co-ownership in the 4-year old Hanoverian stallion Don Martillo. The brand new Bundeschampion will be trained and competed by Anna Sophie Fiebelkorn.
Bred by Axel Windeler, the black Hanoverian Don Martillo (by Don Juan de Hus x Benetton Dream)
Don Martillo came out of nowhere to win the Bundeschampionate in the 4-year old riding horse stallion class. He was only shown twice -- by Svenja Schumacher in 2015 and by Ulrike Hatzl in June 2016 -- before Ann Christin Wienkamp took over the ride and qualified him for the Bundeschampionate by placing second at the Hanoverian Young Horse Championships. In Warendorf he won the title.
Don Martillo was owned by his breeder Axel Windeler who has now sold a share in the ownership to Mario von Depka, who owns Gestut Lonken and stallions Licotus, Sir Samoa and Belissario.
Don Martillo has completed the 14-day stallion performance test in Schlieckau at the end of September but is not yet licensed for breeding.
