Lillian Jansson is the newly elected chair of the Dressage Committee of the Swedish equestrian federation. She is succeeding Lotta Finstorp and will take up the position until the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.

The 53-year old Jansson, who lives in Sollentuna near Stockholm, was appointed chair on 8 September 2016. She has worked as a marketing economist and brand strategist. She has also been involved in sport management for golfing. The position of chair of the dressage committee is a voluntary one.

Jansson has a passion for dressage and currently owns a home bred 3-year old. Her daughter is an active dressage competitor.

In an interview with Swedish equestrian magazine Ridsport, Lilian stated that she wants to push the sport forward by "increasing the pressure on communication so that people know who we are, what we do and why we exist."

The chair can determine who sits on the Swedish dressage committee. "First we need to know what we are going to do and then we'll complete the group with the competence we need." The committee will have a two-day meeting mid October during which they will discuss the 2017 plan of action.

The Swedish Dressage Committee at large currently includes Jansson, alongside Britt Hammar, Annette Fransen-Iacobaeus, Liane Wachtmeister, Ann-Kristin Karlosson, Annica Johnsson, Emelie Brolin, Ann Charlotte Soderlund Bjork, Nina Bjork, Mats Eriksson, Bo Jena, Tina Due Boje, Marianne Esseen-Soderberg, and Bobo Lundberg
