The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) has announced the athlete-and-horse combinations who will represent the U.S. at the Nations Cup CDIO3* held on March 29-April 2, 2016, in Wellington, Florida. The Canadian equestrian federation still also released the names of their team riders a week later.
The U.S. team consists of Big Tour combinations and Robert Dover will serve as the Chef d’Equipe. The following combinations will make up the U.S. team:
- Shelly Francis and Doktor, a 2003 Oldenburg gelding
- Laura Graves and Verdades, a 2002 Dutch Warmblood gelding
- Arlene Page and Woodstock, a 2003 Dutch Warmblood gelding
- Kasey Perry-Glass and Goerklintgaards Dublet, a 2003 Danish Warmblood gelding
Canada will be represented at the 2016 CDIO Wellington Nations' Cup by a team of experienced riders:
- Jacqueline Brooks on D-Niro
- Megan Lane on Caravella
- Belinda Trussel on Anton
- Karen Pavecic on Don Daiquiri
Brittany Fraser of New Glasgow, NS, will act as the Canadian team reserve with All In.
