Dutch FEI rider Femke de Laat has received the ride on the KWPN licensed breeding stallion Dark Pleasure, which was previously trained and competed by Gerdine Maree. After Dream Boy, this is the second KWPN stallion that has left Maree's stable in two months time.

Dark Pleasure is an 8-year old Dutch warmblood stallion by Ufo x Jazz x Ferro.  Bred and owned by Wouter Plaizier, Dark Pleasure scored a total of 78 points in the 2011 KWPN Autumn Stallion Performance Test.

German Jana Freund started the training and competing of the stallion when he was a youngster and competed him at the
2012 Pavo Cup Semi Finals in which they finished 17th.

Dark Pleasure moved to Gerdine Maree's yard in December 2012 after Freund got pregnant with her first child. In 2013 the new pair made an attempt at getting selected for the KWPN for the World Young Horse Championships but he had to be withdrawn due to health issues. Maree contunued to show him at Z-level in the 2015 KWPN Stallion Competition.

The black stallion has now moved to Femke de Laat's yard a few weeks ago. The Schijf based rider acquired a co-ownership share in the stallion in partnership with Dirk Kosters.

"It's a dream come true," De Laat said when she announced the horse moving to her barn.
