2015 Austrian Warmblood Young Horse Championships

The 3-year old Beretta, the 4-year old Lynggaard and dressage horses Broadmoar's Morgenstern and Sir Raphael became the winners of the 2015 Austrian Warmblood Young Horse Championships held in Stadl Paura, Austria on 18 - 20 September 2015.

The Austrian Young Horse Championships consist of two riding horse divisions (one for for 3-year olds and one for 4-year olds) and two dressage horse divisions (one for 4 & 5-year olds and one for 5 & 6-year olds).

The 3-year old riding horse class was won by the chestnut mare Beretta (by Sir Donnerhall I out of Batida (by Florestano)). The mare is bred and owned by Johann Brienesel and is ridden by Nadja Pollhammer. She scored a total of 8.81% and referred Fekete Gyorgy on the mare Floridita (by Johnson x Florestan) to a second place with 8.49 points.

The 4-year old riding horse category was won by Heinz-Jörg Wächter aboard Franz Hummer-Niedermayr's dark bay Lynggaard (by L'Espoir x Florencio). The bright bay scored a very strong 8.90 total in the finals but felt quite some pressure from runner up Stefan Lehfellner on Flamini (by Furst Grandios) who finished second with 8.79 points.

In the 4 & 5-year old dressage horse division Heimo Kendlbacher steered Broadmoar's Morgenstern (by Desperados x Dorano M) to victory. The bay is bred by Klaus Durits. The combination scored 8.4 in total after receiving 8.0 for trot, and 8.5 for walk, canter, submission and general impression. Ulrike Prunthaler and Jasper M (by Johnson) were the reserve champions with 8.2 in the finals. The bay got 9.0 for trot, 7.5 for walk, 8.5 for canter, and 8.0 for submission and general impression.

Austrian Grand Prix rider Renate Voglsang dominated the 5 & 6-year old dressage horse division aboard the bright bay Sir Raphael (by Sandro Hit x Raphael), who is bred by Josef Rottner and owned by Aurelia Dehnhard-Muck. In the finals' round the pair scored 8.5 for trot and canter, 8.0 for walk, and 8.3 for submission and general impression to total 8.32 points. Martin Hauptmann and the black Beverly Boy (by Brentano) became the runners-up with 8.14. The horse got 8.7 for trot, 8.5 for walk, 8/0 for canter, 7.5 for submission and 8.0 for general impression.
