KWPN Breeding News

The KWPN licensed breeding stallion Valdez has been sold to Dutch stallion owner Lauw van Vliet. Stable Broere has decided to reduce its stock and has sold the stallion.

Valdez is the only licensed sond of the KWPN keur stallion Houston and is out of keur mare Oase (by Jazz). He is bred by A.B. Van der Wal, who originally named him Vincent, and he was owned by Broere stud.

Under Broere's head trainer Kirsten Beckers, the bay stallion was competed up to small tour level but an injury prevented him from moving up to Grand Prix level.  He was never competed internationally and was retired from sport in May 2013.

Valdez has sired two approved son so far, Davinci (KWPN, by Valdez x Voltaire) and Velvet Touch (dam sire Haarlem), who was discovered as a foal by British Grand Prix rider Wayne Channon and sold as a 2,5 year old to Dressage Performance center Lodbergen. He is now in Swiss ownership

Valdez has one offspring competing at Prix St Georges level so far, Nars Gottmer's Charlie Brown, who is out of British Erin Williams' junior riders' team horse Waverly (by Polansky).
