The Oldenburg licensing champion Stedinger will move to David and Amanda Shoobridge's stallion station in Australia on Friday 13 September 2013. Shoobridge has leased the stallion for one year with an option to buy.

Bred and owned by show jumper Gerd Sosath, Stedinger (by Sandro Hit x Landadel x Futuro) is a 13-year old dark bay stallion who became the 2002 Oldenburg Licensing champion. In 2004 he was the runner up for the Hauptpremium in Vechta. He scored 131 points in his 70-day Stallion Performance Test in Neustadt/Dosse.

The stallion was lightly trained and competed by Heiko Klausing, Kira Wulferding, Peter Achilles, Jose Miguel Magelhaes, Martin Stamkotter, and Dieter Weichert. In 2005 he competed at the Bundeschampionate with Kira Wulferding and finished 20th in the consolation finals.

Stedinger's most successful offspring include the 2004 German Foal Champion and 2006 Oldenburg Licensing champion Status Quo as well as the former Westfalian licensed stallion Schumacher, who won bronze at the 2010 World Young Horse Championships under Claudia Ruscher. The grey Danish warmblood mare Torveslettens Stamina competed at hte 2010 and 2011 World Young Horse Championships in Verden under Andreas Helgstrand. The Luxembourg owned Statesman won the bronze medal at the 2008 Bundeschampionate, sold for 400,000 euro at the elite auction and is now being competed at international small tour level by Fie Skarsoe. The German owned licensed stallion Spirit of the Age is the first Stedinger offspring to have reached international Grand Prix level.

"We collect him out of quarantine on 19 October, so not long away," an enthusiastic Shoobridge told Eurodressage. "Stedinger has been in our sights for a little while as he's producing long legged elegant foals and riding horses.  He has around 20 licensed offspring and a number of State Premium mares and will be a really valuable addition to the Australian gene pool."
