Adelinde Cornelissen's small tour horse Tiara has been retired from competition sport and will continue her career as a brood mare. The black Dutch warmblood mare is owned by Ruud van Nobelen and will not make the transition to Grand Prix.

The pretty 13-year old Tiara is by Jazz x Gardeoffizier and was known for her sensitive temperament in the show ring. The combination made its international show debut at small tour level in 2011 at the CDI-W Mechelen, where they won the class. At the 2012 Dutch Championships they were fourth overall. More recently in March they earned bronze at the 2013 Dutch Indoor Dressage Championships. It was their last big show together.

Besides Parzival, Cornelissen is still competing two more horses at small tour level: Ulissa (by Olivi x Jetset) and the home bred Zephyr (by Jazz x Havidoff). The liver chestnut Galahad (by Jazz x Blanc Rivage), which she acquired as a successor for Parzival more than a year ago, has not yet been competed.  Adelinde has brought the gelding along as prize-giving horse in 2012 but he hasn't been shown since.

Cornelissen and Tiara appeared last in public in a demo at the  local show Hippique Horse Event in Vorden on Saturday 25 May 2013. Owner van Nobelen has decided to breed with Tiara but has not yet picked a sire.

"I had a really fantastic evening during Hip-pique horse event," said Cornelissen. "It was a great goodbye for Tiara. I'm still a bit sad."
