Dutch O-judge Ghislain Fouarge will not be a candidate for a second term as FEI Judge General. The position is up for re-election at the FEI 5* Judges Seminar in Paris this week.

The rising 66-year old Fouarge became the first ever FEI Judge General appointed and wrote a series of instrumental and informative guidelines for judges to fine-tune their skill set.

"The function as FEI Dressage Judge General is a two year function according to the job description," FEI Dressage Director Trond Asmyr told Eurodressage. "Fouarge was elected two years ago, and the position is hence up for re-election now. it is correct that Fouarge has informed me that he is not available for another period."

The FEI Judge General’s primary responsibilities are to create, co-ordinate and conclude discussions among the judges, ensuring that all conclusions are communicated to FEI judges through FEI Headquarters and Course Directors.

The Noorbeek (NED) based judge was elected first FEI Judge General in February 2011.
