Don Larino Sold to Finland

The Oldenburg licensed stallion and former Bundeschampion Don Larino has been sold to Finland. The bay stallion will make his journey up north to his new station Zelle Stud in Vihti, Finland next week.

Satu and Tuomas Juurinen of Zelle Stud acquired Don Larino and are bringing a new, confirmed dressage stallion to Finland. He was stand at stud via fresh semen as of next breeding season.

Don Larino is a 1996 born Oldenburg stallion by Don Primero out of Larissa (by Larinero x Pik Trumpf x Lord Beri). He was initially licensed for the Oldenburg society and won the 1999 Bundeschampionate as a 3-year old under Heiko Klausing. In 1999 he did his Stallion Performance Test in Adelheidsdorf and scored an index of 134 points. In 2000 he was Oldenburg Haupt Premium winner.

Don Larino is approved for Hanover, Oldenburg, ZfDp and he will be presented for approval to the Finnish Warmblood Society.

Don Larino's most famous offspring include Verden World Young Horse Champion finalist Don Massimo,  Spanish junior riders' team horse Don Luka, Marion Engelen's Grand Prix horse Diego, Fiona Bigwood's Grand Prix horse Don Laurean, and 2008 U.S. Small Tour champion Don Angelo. At the 2006 Vechta Spring Elite auction the Don Larino offspring Donna Medici sold for 140,000 euro.
