The 7-year old Oldenburg bred stallion Don Massimo (by Don Larino x Santander x Rubinstein) has been sold to Norwegian pony rider Elise Klaesson. The bay stallion was owned by the Dutch IPS Horse Group.

Bred by American Ann Kitchel in Germany, Don Massimo was licensed with the Oldenburg society in Vechta in 2007. He was accepted for the KWPN society but never completed the stallion performance test. Don Massimo has one approved son, the Rhinelander Dominos (by Don Massimo x Sir Schölling x Festivo) which became reserve champion at the
2011 Westfalian Stallion Licensing.

The stallion has been trained and competed by Belgian FEI rider Larissa Pauluis and came into the spotlight in 2011 when the horse was a 6-year old. The combination won the 2011 Belgian Young Horse Championships and represented Belgium at the 2011 World Young Horse Championships in Verden, Germany. The pair finished 13th in the Finals with a 7.02 score.

Elise Klaesson was member of the Norwegian Pony Team and has been competing internationally with Nadyr du Bois since 2011. The pair showed at the 2012 European Championships in Fontainebleau and won bronze  at the 2012 Norwegian Pony Championships. Klaessen is making the transition to junior riders level in 2013.
