Escolar, the brand new German Young Horse Champion in the 3-year old stallion division, will most likely be standing at stud in 2013. The bay Westfalian stallion is currently doing his 30-day Performance Test in Neustadt/Dosse.
Bred by Sabine Ludwichowski, Escolar (by Estobar x Furst Piccolo x Sion x Figaro x Vollkorn xx) will be standing at stud at Ludger Beerbaum's stallion station, where Escolar's sire Estobar is also located. Estobar (by Ehrentusch) is currently being trained by Hubertus Schmidt.
Under Hermann Burger the powerful bay stallion Escolar became the 2012 Westfalian Riding Horse Champion and 2012 Bundeschampion. In Warendorf the stallion received 10s for trot and canter, 8 for walk and 8.5 for conformation. At the Bundeschampionate several breed societies confirmed that they would accept Escolar for breeding if he successfully completes his 30-day performance test.
If all goes to plan and Escolar impresses the committee in Neustadt/Dosse, the stallion will be offered for breeding via Beerbaum's station as of February 2013.
