2012 CDI Sydney

In conjunction with the Hanoverian Horse Society of Australia, the organising committee of the 2012 CDI Sydney announced that Andreas Schöffner from Germany will be our special young horse guest rider in the Hanoverian Horse Society of Australia NSW Young Dressage Horse Championships.

The top three placegetters in each age group in the second round will be eligible to take part in the Final on Saturday afternoon.  Andreas will ride the finalists in front of a panel of Judges who together will determine the winner in each age group.

Andreas did his German “Bereiter” (Pferdewirt) training with Wolfram Wittig, who is one of the most successful trainers worldwide and former coach of Isabell Werth.

Andreas has had numerous opportunities to gain experience and train horses from young horses through to higher levels, as well as coaching riders. In 2008 Andreas was appointed as the Bereiter for Mrs Gudula Vorwerk-Happ (the owner of Rubenstein) where he spent time training her young horses and stallions.

In 2009, Andreas branched out on his own taking in horses for training and competition, as well as giving clinics and studying.
