Fifty young dressage colts have been selected to appear at the 2011 Oldenburg Stallion Licensing following four pre-selection days on 7-8 and 10-11 October at the Oldenburger headquarters in Vechta, Germany.

The sire with the most selected direct offspring is Sir Donnerhall I (by Sandro Hit x Donnerhall) but the S-line bred colts continue to dominate in attendance: three Sarkozy's, thee San Amours and two direct Sandro Hit sons will also appear in the ring.

Two more stallions stood out with several offspring selected for the licensing: three Fidertanz' sons will appear, as well as three Christ's.

Five colts are owned by breeders from abroad. British Grand Prix rider Sandy Philips is presenting a Sir Donnerhall colt out of her 2006 World Equestrian Games' mare Lara (by Lanciano x Larome). British former team rider Nicole McGivern is presenting a Sir Donnerhall out of an Escudo x Matcho AA dam, who this year produced a premium Dante Weltino foal. Jill Walker of Southern Cross Stud has a Breitling x Mon Cheri x Rosenkavalier up for licensing. Belgian Grand Prix rider Vicky Smits is presenting a Sandro Hit x Rohdiamant x Bolero. Danish Niels Therkelsen of Byagergaard has an exciting Sarkozy x Michelangelo x Davignon in the collection.
