The Zwolle International international dressage and show jumping competition will take place in 2012 but at a different location.The venue of this event will be moved to the Friesian Congress centre in Drachten and will be named the "International Competition North Netherlands".
The 2012 CDI Zwolle was actually not scheduled to take place as its usual location at the Ijsselhallen was rented out to another event management company for the scheduled dates.
The organizers of Zwolle decided to relocate the competition in order not to stop the 18-year old tradition of Zwolle.
"We wanted to continue with this event, for the participants, sponsors, visitors and staff," said show chair Bennie Wezenberg. "When we heard in May that after 18 years we could no longer rent the Ijsselhallen in Zwolle we started to look for other options. We are proud to have found a new location in Drachten."
The CDI part of the competition will take place 5 - 8 January 2012.
Drachten is an additional one hour drive north of Zwolle.
