Horses.nl reported that both Vivaldi and Krawall will not be competing at the 2011 Dutch Dressage Championships at Outdoor Gelderland in De Steeg, The Netherlands, set to take place this week.

Hans Peter Minderhoud and his number one small tour horse, the highly popular KWPN breeding stallion Vivaldi (by Krack C x Jazz x Ulft), have withdrawn because the chestnut stallion is suffering from a loose hoof wall. It is not the first time that Vivaldi has had problems with a loose wall.

"I'm really bummed out because until the end of last week he was in super shape, but now he's no longer fit," Minderhoud told Horses.nl. Hans Peter still has two horses for the Championships: Johnson (by Jazz x Flemmingh) for the small tour and Tango (by Jazz x Contango) for the big tour.

Jenny Schreven will not be showing in the big tour championship as her 19-year old Dutch warmblood Krawall (by Focus) is not in shape for the competition. Last week, the dark bay gelding won the Grand Prix at the 2011 CDI Copenhagen but was more tired in the freestyle due to the heavy footing of the Copenhagen warm up ring.

"He's not fit to compete after the heavy show in Copenhagen," Schreven explained Horses.nl.
