Dr. Doolittle Son, Price Highlight of 2011 South German Stallion Licensing Auction

Not the licensing champion but the reserve champion of the 2011 South German Stallion Licensing in Munich became the price highlight of the auction on Saturday afternoon 29 January 2011.

The Dr. Doolittle x Rubin Royal son, who was presented by Gestut St. Ludwig, sold for 150,000 euro. 

The licensing champion, a San Amour x Cabaret son, sold for 95,000 euro to Dr. Kerstin Klieber and Stefan Sandbrink. The third highest placed stallion, the Quaterback x Paradiesvogel, sold for 100,000 euro.

A South African buyer was particularly interested in the Swarovski x Weltmeyer, presented by Martina Biermann. The person paid 115,000 euro for the young colt. The Quaterback x Flash de Prissey sold for 75,000 euro to Switzerland.

The average price for a licensed stallion at this auction was 49,208 euro, and 14,758 euro for a non-licensed stallion.
