2010 Oldenburg Stallion Licensing

Seven dressage bred stallions were approved for breeding for the Oldenburg society following an inspection at the 2010 Oldenburg after-licensing on 14 December 2010.

Two young colts were licensed, five stallions from other breed societies were approved.

On home turf in Vechta, Paul Schockemöhle experienced no problems in getting Fur Drei, his Hanoverian branded Fidertanz x De Vito licensed with the Oldenburg society. In October the Hanoverian society refused to license this dark bay stallion so the colt got sold at the auction of non-licensed stallions. Schockemöhle and Danish stallion stations Katrinelund and Priess split the costs and paid 95,000 euro for the colt. The second colt to pass the after-licensing was Wulferding's 2008 born colt by Sir Donnerhall x Royal Dance.

Five non-Oldenburg bred colts were approved as well. This group included the 4-year old Dutch warmblood stallion Bretton Woods (by Johnson x De Niro), the Trakehner premium stallion Herbstkönig (by Interconti x Timber), the Trakehner Amadelio (by lehndorff's x Lauries Crusador xx), Auheim's grey premium stallion Del Magico (by Dimaggio x Feinbrand x Akzent II), and the Hanoverian branded Quasar de Charry (by Quaterback x Wolkentanz I) which is owned by Swiss Hansjo?rg Hereth and standing at stud at Ingo Pape's. Klosterhof Medingen's First Flush (by First Dance x Sunlight xx) is approved with a restriction of 20 mares.
