Young Rider Floor Vos and Grand Prix rider Christa Laarakkers have been promoted to the Dutch A-team in their age division. Following good results at the CDI-PJYR Weert and CDI Addington, these two riders obtained the necessary qualification score to move into the A-team.
The 20-year old Floor Vos excelled with her powerfully moving Dutch warmblood gelding Tornaxs (by Cabochon x Le Val Blanc) in the young riders divisions at the international youth riders competition in Weert, The Netherlands, last weekend. She scored 71.67% to place fifth in the kur to music finals. Vos was the 2008 Drente regional champion at Z2 level. Davidoff, the second horse of Young rider Diederik van Silfhout, has also been added to the A-team.
Junior rider Maxime Osse and her bay Dutch warmblood gelding Navarro (by Jester) have been submitted to the A-team following their good scores at the CDI-J Weert.
Dutch chef d'equipe Tineke Bartels was very pleased with the performances of her Dutch junior and Young riders in Weert. "In the team test, the junior and young riders all scored really well," Bartels explained. "Five Young Rider combinations were able to score over 70% and four junior riders did so as well. They performed really well."
Dutch pony chef d'equipe Christa Laarakkers is also an active Grand Prix rider and has obtained her second qualification score to be promoted into the Dutch Grand Prix A-team. Aboard van Norel, Smits and Laarakker's Dutch warmblood gelding Ovation (by Cabochon x Apollonios xx ), Laarakkers scored 70,55% at the CDI Addington and 70.255% in the Grand Prix at the CDI-W 's Hertogenbosch.
