Following the 2008 German Dressage Championships in Balve, Germany, German chef d'equipe Holger Schmezer has made some changes to his A-team, out of which he will pick an Olympic team after the CDIO Aachen.

New comers to the A-team are German Male Champion, 24-year old Matthias Alexander Rath with Ann Kathrin Linsenhoff's Oldenburg gelding Sterntaler Unicef (by Sion) and 26-year old Helen Langehanenberg with the 9-year old Oldenburg mare Responsible (by Rohdiamant).

Two veterans had to make room in the A-team for the new comers. Carola Koppelmann and Le Bo (by Lauries Crusador xx) and Hubertus Schmidt with Wansuela Suerte (by Warkant) were degraded to the B-team.
