Sterntaler to Make Show Come Back with Matthias Alexander Rath

Ann Kathrin Linsenhoff's 2005 European Championship team gold medal winning horse Sterntaler Unicef is making his come back to the show ring under Linsenhoff's stepson Matthias Alexander Rath.

The internationally renowned news paper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung reported that Sterntaler's come back will be at the CDI Hagen upcoming weekend.

German Grand Prix chef d'equipe Holger Schmezer is quoted in the article saying that if Matthias Rath is "able to bring out the potential of this horse, Germany will have a further candidate for Olympic team selection."

The 24-year old Rath took over the ride on the 13-year old Sterntaler (by Sion) from Linsenhoff, who called its quits when she was diagnosed with Lyme disease one and a helf year ago.

The first German Olympic selection trial is at Hof Kasselmann in Hagen and the official German Olympic team will be announced right after the 2008 CDIO Aachen in July.
