The 13-year old KWPN licensed breeding stallion Kigali has been partly sold to Coby van Baalen. Through the sponsorship of Jan de Vries of BMC and Henk Krooswijk of construction company Binneweg de Panter

, Coby van Baalen was able to acquire 50% of the ownership of this bay stallion.

Kigali is bred by Mr Huis in 't Veld and is by Wolfgang out of mare Finesse (Voltaire x Gag xx). Kigali's dam Finesse competed at the 1996 Olympic Games in show jumping under Emile Hendrickx. Arnd Zoer bought Kigali as a foal and trained him in show jumping. As a 5-year old Kigali became the World Young Horse Show Jumping Champion in Lanaken, but later on he got trained in dressage by Coby van Baalen.

"Kigali has the most temperament of all the horses I have so far trained to Grand Prix, but he's very uncomplicated to handle. He wants to understand everything and do everything for you," Van Baalen said. "I'm not going to push him but I hope that next autumn or spring we can do the Grand Prix. First we will ride the Dutch small tour Championship in Nijmegen in two weeks."
