German international Grand Prix rider Michael Klimke is looking for an experienced groom to complete his team at his Munster based dressage stable in Germany.
Following the classic principles of riding instruction and the care of sport horses, Klimke takes pride in doing so with his training and sale horses by finding an individual way with each horse.
The groom position is a full-time job open to a candidate who is hard working and committed to the highest standards in the care taking of high quality dressage horses.
S/he will share the care taking of twenty horses in a team of four people. A work week is five days.
Duties include grooming, feeding, braiding, tacking up, putting the horses into the field, and preparing the lorry to go to competitions. Some lunging could be involved as well as hand-walking or occasional hacking of the horses. No mucking.
The job includes the perk of travelling and working in Wellington, Florida during the winter months while the spring and summer are spent in Germany.
The candidate needs to be reliable and team oriented. An eye for tidiness and detail is required.
Accommodation will be provided and groom can bring own dog.
