Danish horse dealer Andreas Helgstrand held his first ever auction of under saddle dressage horses and the collection achieved modest prices.
This autumn clearance sale of young horses, aged 3 to 5, with one older horse included achieved prices between 5,250 euro and 37,000 euro. Four horses in the collection have mild signs of shivers, one is a roarer, and one weaves as indicated in the descriptions on the auction website.
The best seller was the 12-year old Hanoverian gelding Scolari's Son (by Scolari x Royal Diamond). The bay is schooling at Grand Prix level and was competed in Germany at small tour level by Laura Munch. He sod for 37,000 euro to Great Britain.
The second most expensive horse was the 3-year old Sir London (by So Unique x Londontime) who will stay in Denmark for 27,000 euro.
The third best selling horse was the 4-year old Salinero (by Springbank II x Franziskus), who will also remain in Denmark for 20,000 euro.
Quite a few foreign buyers picked up horses for bargain prices: Reniro VH (by Revolution x De Niro) and Tomatin VH (by Totilas x Furstenball), both bred by Swede Tobias Hanson, will return to their breeder's country Sweden for 17,500 euro and 8,000 euro.
An Austrian bought Stage Artist (by Sezuan x Belissimo M) for 15,500 euro.
Dutch buyers secured Galiano de Fontaine (by Grand Galaxy Win x Vivaldi) for 15,000 euro, Vie Romancée (by Vitalis x Ferro) for 14,000 euro, the chestnut gelding Fleige's Zaphyr (by Zoom x Blickpunkt) for 10,500 euro. The latter originally sold at the 2020 Westfalian stallion licensing for 52,500 euro.
Spaniards bought Deukalion Nobel (by Valverde x Sherwood) for 13,000 euro and Theresa-DN (by Springbank II x Londonderry) for 12,500 euro. The British bred MSJ Elton (by Escamillo x De Niro) returns to Britain for 11,500 euro
A Frenchman bought Furst Figo Pilekaer (by Franklin x Sir Donnerhall) for 10,000 euro, while Saladin Nobel (by Vitalis x Solos Landtinus) goes to Belgium for 9,000 euro.
One horse (Flash de Fontaine) did not receive a bid. Four horses were dropped from the collection.
