Young Talents of Austrian Breeding under the Auction Hammer!

After the great success of last year's auctions, an online foal auction will again be held at www.fohlenauktion.at from August 9 to 13, 2023.

Quality Horse Breeding in Austria

Despite the small horse population with only about 2,000 registered mares and about 500 warmblood foals annually, Austria can come up with remarkable success horses! 

Especially in dressage horse breeding, the AWÖ (Working Group for Warmblood Breeding in Austria) has made a name for itself. It is ranked 17th in the WBFSH list of best breeding areas!

The list of current successful horses includes names such as "Rondoro Nob-lesse" (Grand Prix winner under Jennifer Hofmann (USA)), "Don Alfredo AWÖ" (Grand Prix high placed under Bettina Kendlbacher) or "For President AWÖ" (Grand Prix series winner under Michael Bugan).

But now we look into the future with equally happy expectations.

Auction Collection

On the total of five pre-selection dates, 17 dressage foals and one riding pony foal were admitted to the auction.

Important criteria for the selection were the correctness of the foundation, a well-balanced character, and above all the prospects and the sporting ability of the dam line.

So it is not surprising that this year's dressage foal collection features foals from Verband- and State-Premium dams and from star sires such as Lennox U.S., Kjento, Galaxy, Va'Pensiero, Indian Rock, Contendro and many more!
