Danish born Luxembourg dressage rider Kristine Brinch Möller has given birth to her first child, a baby boy named Felix, on 1 January 2020. "He was born three weeks too early but he is fit and healthy. We are totally in love with this little man," Moller told Eurodressage. Father is Kristine's partner Paul Engel, who works at the Luxembourg Equestrian Federation (FLSE). Möller last competed at the CDI Crozet in August 2019 before taking it easier in the final months of her pregnancy.

Koeka ter Selle, a 5-year old KWPN mare by For Romance x Don Crusador x Wolkenstein II, has been sold to the U.S.A.. Bred by Gunter Nelis in Peer, Belgium, and owned by the breeder in partnership with Stable van der Sande, Koeka ter Selle was the best scoring mare in the 2019 Pavo Cup Finals under Kim Koolen with a 15th (!!) place in the 4-year old division. The 5-year old mare has been sold to American Missy Fladland, who will train her with the help of coach Katherine Bateson-Chandler. Koeka ter Selle is the full sister to the KWPN licensed stallion For Ferrero. 

Gert-Jan van Olst's 17-year old Dutch warmblood stallion Netto (by Negro x Purioso) has been re-stationed in France.  In 2013 Netto competed twice at international Grand Prix level, but then disappeared from the show scene. Netto was licensed six years ago. In 2019 the KWPN breed society gave Netto a one-year extension for his offspring inspection. He now has moved to La Vespière-Friardel in Normandy, France, to stand at stud there. 

The State stud in Schwaiganger will be standing the British bred stallion performance test winner Woodlander Wicked Game (by Wild Child x St. Moritz x Rotspon) this 2020 breeding season. Sire Wild Child (who is out of double Young Horse World Champion Woodlander Farouche (by Furst Heinrich) is standing at the Celle state stud. Both stallions are bred by Lynn Crowden of Woodlander stud in the U.K.

James Hood has joined Equestrian Canada in the position of High Performance Director, effective Jan. 8, 2020. Hood has an extensive and successful track record in sport organizations, specializing in providing strategic leadership with a focus on high performance and sport development. He has served in various roles within Swimming Canada and Swim Alberta. Most recently he has been the Vice President Sports Markets with joe:media group of Calgary, AB, supporting sport organizations with both broadcast and video production. Hood’s career highlights include taking on the role of Head Coach for the 1992 Barcelona Paralympics, Team Manager for the 2012 London Olympics and Team Leader for the 2016 Rio Paralympics. He has also performed as a Technical Delegate, Official or Classifier at more than seven major games, including the Paralympics, Pan Am and Parapan Am Games, and FISU World University Championships. 

Tim Coomans has sold a share in the ownership of the 9-year old KWPN mare Great Lady TC to Erwin Reijnders. Under Jeanine Nieuwenhuis, the bay mare (by Bretton Woods x Osmium) competed at the World Young Horse Championships in 2016 and 2017. They also won the 2017 Pavo Cup Finals for 6-year olds. The mare has been competed at small tour level and will be a successor for Nieuwenhuis, who won the 2019 European Under 25 Championships on TC Athene (by United).

The 5-year old KWPN stallion Kalisto KL (by Expression x San Amour) has been sold to Spanish team football player Raul Garcia. The bay stallion, who has been gelded, was owned by Jeroen Korsten and as a 3-year old approved at the KWPN licensing. However the horse was pulled from the 2018 spring performance test and never completed the licensing process so he is not licensed for breeding. He made his show debut at L-level (A in Holland) under Stefan Passchier. Garcia plays for Athletic Bilbao and has invested in this horse. It will go in training with a Spanish professional. The gelding will be trained by Samuel “Buenarate” Delgado.

Alison King, a 4* dressage judge from Hong Kong, has withdrawn from all judging duties in 2020 for health reasons. King was part of the ground jury at the 2019 Asian Championships in Pattaya, Thailand, in December but suddently withdrew from judging the Intermediaire I Kur to Music on the last day. King was also elected on the ground jury for the 2020 Paralympics in Tokyo and the FEI has replaced her with Anne Prain.
