Nymphenburgs Royal Side Sold to German Junior Philippa von Selchow

The 8-year old Hanoverian licensed stallion Royal Side S, also known as Nymphenburgs Royal Side, has been sold to German junior Philippa von Selchow.

Bred by Nicole Wanning and previously owned by Helmut von Fircks, Royal Side is by royal Classic out of Riva (by Riverside x Wolkentanz II).

The chestnut was licensed at the 2015 ZfdP stallion licensing in Lentföhren. A year later he was approved for the Hanoverian society. He did his 50-day stallion performance test in 2016 in Schlieckau and scored 8.32 points. 

He was first competed by Pernille Norbeck Ostvold in 2015, followed by Sabrina Schroers. Tessa Frank, at the time head rider at Gestut Nymphenburg got the ride in 2016 and rode hum to a 6th place in the 2017 Bundeschampionate. A month later Leif Hamberger campaigned hum and in 2018 it was Lukas Fischer aboard. He landed a 9th place at the 2018 Bundeschampionate. 

In 2019 Ann-Christin Wienkamp competed the stallion before he was sent back to Gestut Nympenburg. Zina Facklam, who left Hof Kasselmann for Nymphenburg in August 2019, rode him in Hagen and competed him once in November 2019 at Prix St Georges level.

Von Selchow is a German junior rider In 2019 she competed the 13-year old Danish warmblood Willas Dane (by Weltjunge x Markus x Lachs I) at M-level. The Dusseldorf based rider also purchased this horse through Hof Kasselmann.
