The 4-year old Dancier Gold and the 5-year old Finest Selection became the high scorers of the 2019 Stallion Sport Test held in Verden, Germany, on 18 - 20 February 2019.

The stallion sport test is a mandatory 3-day test for licensed stallions to maintain their licensed status. Stallions have to score 7.5 overall or higher to keep their breeding licence.

In the 4-year old division, 14 stallions were entered and two failed the test. The high scorer was the Hanoverian Dancier Gold (by Dancier x Weltmeyer x airport), which was presented by Australian Simone Pearce and is owned by Gestut Sprehe. The black scored a total of 8.73 points with 8.5 for walk, 9.3 for trot, 8.3 for canter, 8.7 for rideability and 9.0 for general impression. Last year Dancier Gold finished fifth at the 2018 Bundeschampionate under Anna Sophie Fiebelkorn.

The second highest scoring 4-year old was the Oldenburg bred Dante Alighieri (by Dante Weltino x De Niro x Landadel) with 8.28 points. Under Hannah Laser, the Klosterhof Medingen owned stallion got 7.2 for walk, 8.5 for trot, 8.0 for canter, 9 for rideability and 8.4 for general impression.  Lodbergen's Hanoverian La Vie (by Livaldon x Scolaro x Wolkenstein II) got the third best score of 8.24 points.

Dante Alighieri
Premium stallion Diamond First (by Diamond Hit - score 7.31) and St. Patrick (by Sezuan - score 7.36) both failed the test. This is already the XX Sezuan son that fails the testing: in Munster a month ago Sezarion (by Sezuan) didn't make the cut, in April 2018 in Munster Gestut Peterhof's Sam (by Sezuan) failed, and in March 2018 in Munster the KWPN bred Jazzuan SVN (by Sezuan) failed.

It was also striking how two Oldenburg premium ring stallions only passed by the skin of their teeth. Paul Schockemohle and Lone Boegh Henriksen's Oldenburg reserve licensing champion Don Angelo (by Don Schufro) got 7.55, while Henriksen's Sansibar AK (by Sandro Hit) got 7.56 points. The same minimal score of 7.56 points was also achieved by Mykonos (by Millennium x Desperados).

In the 5-year old division there were eight stallions in Verden. The best scorer was the 2017 Bundeschampion Finest Selection (by Follow Me x Lauries Crusador xx x Donnerhall), owned by Lodbergen and ridden by Therese Nilshagen. The black got a total of 8.48 points with 8.5 for walk, 8.3 for trot, 8.6 for canter, and 8.5 for rideability and general impression.

Damon Gold
Lone Boegh Henriksen's home bred Damon Gold (by Damon Hill x Furst Romancier x Don Schufro was the second best scoring 5-year old. He got a total of 8.29 points with 7.5 for walk, 8.5 for trot and canter, 8.8 for rideability and 8.5 for general impression. The colt was presented by Danish Maria Falkner Hansen. The Hanoverian Franco Nero (by Franziskus x Sorento x Painter's Row xx) had the third best score with 8.27.

Vivarant (by Vivaldi) failed the testing with 7.02 points.
