Carmina II, Top Seller of the 2018 Riedlingen Foal Auction

The show jumper filly Carmina II became the top seller at the 61st Baden Wurttemberger foal auction in Riedlingen, Germany, on 23 August 2018. 

Bred by Gerhard Pfeiffer, Carmina II (by Casall x Cassini) sold for 30,000 euro. She is the full sister to the international show jumper Carmini (Laura Klaphake).

Breeder Pfeiffer celebrated more success in Riedlingen as his dressage bred colt Furst Gerd (by Furstenball x Fidertanz) sold for 15,000 euro.

The most expensive dressage foal cost 22,000 euro. Two colts sold for this price:  Feiner Einer (by Feinrich-San Landino, bred by Petra and Jürgen Plöger) and Finley (by For Romance I x Quaterback, bred by Johannes Gaab).

Ballantines (by Boss Hoss x Dormello) achieved a knock down price of 13,000 euro, while Quantum Unico (by Quantenspriung x Nekton) switched owners for 12,500 euro. 

Vincent (by Vitalis x Diamond Star) sold for 10,000 to North Rhine Westfalia.

54 foals were sold from a collection of 62 foals. The average price for a foal was 7,327 euro.
