Hudson and Rockford Dreams Win 2018 Steinhagen Bundeschampionate Qualifier

The 5-year old Hudson and the 6-year old Rockford Dreams became the winners of the Bundeschampionate qualification classes held at the regional show in Steinhagen-Brockhagen, Germany, on Friday 6 July 2018. 

A big group of 5-year olds - 17 combinations in total - contested the L-level dressage horse test and Grand Prix rider Jan Dirk Giesselmann aced the class aboard the Hanoverian gelding Hudson (by Hotline x Weltmeyer) with a total of 8.4. The black gelding got 7.5 for walk, 9 for trot, and 8.5 for canter, submission and general impression. Ann-Christin Wienkamp and Melanie Becks' Westfalian stallion HBS Daily Double (by Daley Thompson x Romantik Boy) were second with 8.0. The black stallion got 8.5 for walk, 8 for trot, 7.5 for canter, and 8 for submission and general impression. 

Just six pairs contested the 6-year old division and professional Claudia Ruscher won the class on Katharina Matzker's Westfalian gelding Rockford Dreams (by Rocky Lee x Come On). They dark bay gelding got 7.5 for walk, 8 for trot and canter, 6.5 for submission and 7.5 for general impression. He totaled 7.5 for the victory. Achim Ostermeyer and the Hanoverian mare Die Callas  (by Desperados x Westernhagen) landed second place with 7.4. The black mare got 8.5 for walk, 7.5 for trot, 7 for canter, 6.5 for submission and 7.5 for general impression.
