Nineteen dressage bred stallions aged 4, 5 and older have been approved to participate in the stallion performance testing following a positive verdict from the licensing committee at the 2018 Danish Warmblood Stallion Licensing in Herning, Denmark, on 7 - 9 March 2018.
Thirty stallions in total aged 4, 5, and older were accepted for the 35-day performance test, 11 of them are jumpers, 19 are dressage horses.
The stallions were first presented on hard surface and then under saddle by their own rider.
On Sunday the committee announced Springbank II as the licensing champion in the 4-year old division.
Some of the 4-year old stallions have been definitely approved by the Danish warmblood society as they were already licensed and performance tested as 3-year olds. Newcomers that are now 4 and have never before been licensed or tested, will have to do the performance test first.

The 2018 DWB Stallion Licensing will also conclude with a premium ring in the 3-year old division and the naming of a champion.
