Ulla Salzgeber has sold her Grand Prix horse Sir Simon to her student, Austrian team rider Astrid Neumayer.  Sir Simon is a 10-year old Westfalian gelding by Samarant out of Florentine (by Florestan).

Neumayer's mother, who owns Gestut Pramwaldhof in Haag, Austria, together with Astrid,  purchased the chestnut for her daughter.

Under Ulla Salzgeber, Sir Simon made his international show debut at small tour level in 2015. The pair competed at CDi's in Neumunster, Munich, Fritzens and Budapast. In 2016 Ulla moved her horse to Grand Prix level and after a first CDI in Caselle di Sommacampagne, they went to Mariakalnok where they won the Grand Prix and Special. A campaign at Lipica, Munich and Geneva followed.

In 2017 Ulla rode two internationals in Wiener Neustadt and Mannheim after which she announced her own retirement from an active competition career. Salzgeber has now sold her top horse to student Neumayer so she will have a second iron in the fire with the 2018 World Equestrian Games and 2020 Tokyo Olympics in sight.

Aboard the now 18-year old Brandenburger bred Rodriguez (by Rubinstern Noir x Gaspari II), Neumayer represented Austria at the 2015 European Championships in Aachen. The pair has been competing at international Grand Prix for the past five years since 2013.
