Mister Red Texel, Top Seller of the 2017 KWPN Foal Auction Midden Nederland

The bay colt Mister Red Texel became the price highlight of the 2017 KWPN Foal Auction Midden Nederland held on Wednesday 6 September 2017. The colt sold for 50,000 euro.

Bred by Wim van der Linde of the renowned Texel stud, Mister Red Texel is by Daily Diamond x Jazz). He will stay in The Netherlands. This summer the breeder from the Dutch island of Texel has sold ten foals at several auctions in The Netherlands so far, amassing 213,500 euro in revenue. Two days ago he sold Montecarlo Texel for 27,000 euro to a sponsor of American Grand Prix rider Laura Graves. 

The second most expensive foal at this auction was Manhattan (by Indian Rock x Furst Heinrich), which sold for 39,000 euro. 

Midnight Dream (by Electron x De Niro) sold for 24,000 euro to Spanish FEI rider Laura Reija, who also purchased filly Miranda (by Flavio x Tuschinski) for 21,000 euro.

Offspring by Toto Jr (by Totilas x Desperados) has been selling like hot cakes in Holland and at this auction Mark (by Toto Jr x Houston) fetched a price of 24,000 euro. Magnifique van de Westen (by Toto Jr x Charmeur) achieved a knock down price of 16,000 euro.

Embryotransfer colt Mambo No 5 VDP (by Revolution x Apache) sold for 22,000 euro. A dressage rider from Kuwait bought Maestro CC (by Habanna x Prestige VDL).

This auction also offered several Friesian foals, the best sellers were Drys ut de Westereen (by Omer x Arjen) and Francis vom Friesen Altmark (by Alwin x Krist). They both sold for 19,000 euro.
